I tested this game, that I will sure I will enjoy...but no ... It was a painful experience. The graphics are beautiful, but the control (xbox controller) are awful... and if you miss the tutos ,witch I miss all of them, it's frustrating...

The game does not run on Mac and on 32-bits operating system, you might want to check. You can use a Virtual Machine running Windows 7 or a more recent version in 64-bits OS if you can, and you will be able to play SYMPHONIA!

This game it's great though I wish there was the option to see the keyboard controls (I know it's recommended to use an actual joystick but I don't have and it would be nice just to have a tab or something in the controls of the pause menu or something in the main menu instead of trying all the keys to find the corresponding to each action).

I really enjoyed it! The style and concept are really cool, it's wonderful, and even if I had some troubles with controls, I had a very good time playing it! Good job guys ^^

Les contrôles sont orientés simulation d'où le petit temps d'apprentissage nécessaire, mais si ça vous rassure : tout le monde prend un peu de temps pour s'y faire :)

this was a wonderful game the music was wonderful the style was interesting and fun making a living world i was just really really bad at platformer games but i did persist dying again and again but i only missed 5 music fragments
Launches fine but I can't get past "Press the A button" on the title screen. Other games recognize my controller no problem but this one isn't working. And it seems not to recognize any mouse/keyboard input either. Any suggestions?
Have you pluged the controler before launching the game ? You can still play with keyboard and mouse but you will have to move with ZQSD and the space bar is considered as the A button. We didn't had the chance to bring custom keyboard controls, sorry about that.

This game is absolutely amazing!!!! i loved every second of it between the creative controls, amazing hand drawn backgrounds, and the ANIMATION this game is not only gorgeous to look at but is an absolute blast to play!
This game is absolutely gorgeous, has beautiful sound, and is a ton of fun to play!!! Are you guys planning on either making more linear style levels like this game had or perhaps even thinking about making it a more "Metroidvania" style game? Either way I would absolutely pay full price for that! Great job all!
We are glad you liked our game :) We definitely have some ideas for the future of SYMPHONIA and as you point it out, these options are conceivable, considering the time and means we could gather.
The team still has to transition from the student initial release and since a large part of the team is already tackling other projects we will take our time to make headway on SYMPHONIA.
A particular platform game, our protagonist will have to move with the violin bow to stick to the walls to jump from one part to the other. During the adventure we will see beautifully made scenarios of machinery related to steampunk style music. The music that accompanies the game is done really well. I love it

Hi, I am not 100% but when i first plugged it in it didnt work then i restarted the game then replugged in my controller and its working fine. I am using an Xbox360 controller. However the odd thing is that its showing my controller as 2nd player and not 1st. so im not sure about that. Hopefully this was helpful for you.

The game has been developed on 64-bits operating system, and thus it will not work out on 32-bits operating systems.
There is not much we can do now.
I suggest you find a Virtual Machine, which runs a 64-bits OS and you will be able to enjoy SYMPHONIA.

The development is finished and so far, we do not plan on translating this version into other languages.

The game was developed with a French keyboard! Thus your traditional WASD keys won't be functioning properly. Please install a French keyboard first, then switch your keyboard and you will be ready to go!
Mouse Left button: Poke action (using you violin bow, can be performed in various directions: up / down / left / right pressing ZSQD respectively)
Z: up input for violin bow use
Q: run towards the left / violin bow use towards the left
S: down input for violin bow use
D: run towards the right / violin bow use towards the right
A: Play your violin (Y input on a Xbox Controller)
Space bar: jump (analogical, the longer you press, the higher you jump)
P: Pause Menu (presse again to exit menu)
Space bar in-menu: Confirm
We suggest you make sure you plugged your controller before launching Symphonia and if you are playing with a PS4 controller, maybe installing DS4WINDOWS might help.

I do not speak Portuguese unfortunately but I did manage to understand your question :D
The game runs fine with Windows 7 but not with 32-bits operating systems. We did not have the luxury to include these OSs at that time.
Thus, I can only recommend you install a Virtual Machine on your computer, which runs any recent 64-bits Windows operating systems!
The game might me tweaked for all OSs at some point, who knows? ;)

Les contrôles sont orientés simulation d'où le petit temps d'apprentissage nécessaire, mais si ça vous rassure : tout le monde prend un peu de temps pour s'y faire :)

this was a wonderful game the music was wonderful the style was interesting and fun making a living world i was just really really bad at platformer games but i did persist dying again and again but i only missed 5 music fragments

Launches fine but I can't get past "Press the A button" on the title screen. Other games recognize my controller no problem but this one isn't working. And it seems not to recognize any mouse/keyboard input either. Any suggestions?

Have you pluged the controler before launching the game ? You can still play with keyboard and mouse but you will have to move with ZQSD and the space bar is considered as the A button. We didn't had the chance to bring custom keyboard controls, sorry about that.

Are you guys planning on either making more linear style levels like this game had or perhaps even thinking about making it a more "Metroidvania" style game? A particular platform game, our protagonist will have to move with the violin bow to stick to the walls to jump from one part to the other.
During the adventure we will see beautifully made scenarios of machinery related to steampunk style music. The music that accompanies the game is done really well. I love it

Do you have advice to make the xbox controller working in the game please ? Pluging it doesn't seem to be enough to make it works for me.
Hi, I am not 100% but when i first plugged it in it didnt work then i restarted the game then replugged in my controller and its working fine. I am using an Xbox360 controller. However the odd thing is that its showing my controller as 2nd player and not 1st. so im not sure about that. Hopefully this was helpful for you.
