This game looks beyond amazing! Its like made of oil painting, only seeing the game is impressive ! The gameplay... oh the gameplay.... I always wanted to make a game where you were able to control your environment (and I'm actually still on that heh), but you guys were able to take that idea to the next level! Congratulations! To be honest I only were able to see some of those review videos (office time), but this weekend I'll surely take my time to play it

Liff was a bit of a different experience. I didn't look up much information from you guys. Which might or might not been a bad thing from me. But I think it was better in a way.

The game is so full of colours and the way you experiences this world is fun. Erase things or draw new ones is a fun feature for the game. The world is my painting and I have the brush to change it.  The puzzle's wasn't too complicated but still fun to solve. But I couldn't stop feeling sad when I make changes since the world is beautiful as you made it. I like how the world changes when you remove the darkness from the world that it trying to invade. The only thing I missed during the game was something that could tell me what happend here during the gameplay.

You have such a amazing world here which is getting consumed by darkness so as a player I just wanna know whats going on, what happend to the people, where did this darkness come from. This just brings upp so many questions and makes the world even more interesting.

Oh and I didn't expect the controlls were meant for a controller in mind rather then a mouse and keyboard. But the controll felt good and easy to use.

I hope you keep making more games in the future.

Started up the game, got the guy standing on a blank screen.  Left mouse button brought up the canvas, but nothing happened as I moved the mouse, even when pressing keys.  WASD did work outside of canvas mode, but again, blank screen.  Moving the mouse wildly gave me glimpses of scenery at the edge of the screen, but the screen returned to blank afterward.

Tried "experimental" feature from the main menu.  That got me scenery.  LMB entered canvas mode, moving the mouse while holding Q had a destructive effect on some rocks, but the game completely locked up as I was on the verge of making a pillar explode.  "Close Window" from the taskbar did nothing, had to use Task Manager to kill the process.

Hi,

We're very sorry for this bad experience, the game is designed to be played with a game controller, and the tutorial isn't working for a keyboard user.

You should still be able to play the game correctly though with those inputs:

LMBOpen/Close Canvas
QErase (if canvas is open)
Paint (if canvas is open)
WASDMove
ShiftPurify (near corruption)

The blank screen at the beginning of the game is meant to be this way, you have to figure out on your own what to do

The experimental is well... experimental and requires a lot of processing power from the computer so it may cause some crash, we would advise you not to use it if it crashes.

Let us know if you succeeded!

The Líff Team.

Thanks.  This did help.

WOW, I had a chance to have a play for around 30-40 minutes and I have to say this is very impressive. It did take me a few minutes to get used to the controls but the graphics. The graphics are fantastic. Throughout the play I was just mesmerised at every corner and every turn with what was presented visually and I even myself saying "Look at the village, I'd love to live there".

I have to admit though, I didn't manage to finish the game due to other commitments but I will return to this game this week and finish where I left off.

Well done DEVS

I really like the graphics and the idea of painting and erasing the world. The controls have been a little tricky for me as keyboard user, but nothing impossible.

Hope to face more puzzles in this amazing world in the future! :)

I also did a German Let's Play of it, will probably not be very helpful for you, but here it is:

Thank you for playing and for the video! Sorry about the keyboard controls we are working on it for an upcoming version.

(+3)

Is this controller only? I'd like to play, but I don't have a controller, and nothing on the keyboard seems to produce any movement...

Hi! We're very sorry but we don't have full keyboard controls for the moment. We are working on it for a future version.

Didn't play it yet, but what is this folder structure. Zip in a zip? After unzipping everything the game is under Liff/Liff/Liff_Release_02/Liff_Release_02/WindowsNoEditor/Inkstain, like... ?! :)

(+3)

Hi! Sorry about the issue. We'll fix it as soon as possible.

(+2)

Was no big issue, just a little 'what the' moment. Anyway, the game is literally a masterpiece. Visuals are absolutely beautiful! (already said that when giving the game 5 stars, but somehow people downvoted me for pointing out the weird packaging, like... is this not the right place to ask about this or why the hate?) <3

Thank you so much for the kind words. I believe the packaging should be fixed by now as well, we understand your surprise!

(+4)

Whoa, beautiful! Truly both visually and mechanically unique. Wonderful work! :D

(+2)

We all worked hard to deliver this game, thank you so much for your comment! We are really touched.

(+4)

I would buy it in steam

(+2)

Thanks for the comment! We think there is still a lot more we need to do before we can ask any money for the game.

(+4)

This was absolutely gorgeous! Played a lil' bit on my channel. :)

(+2)

Thank you for the video! We're really happy we could share our game with you.

(+4)

While I couldn't figure out how to finish the game, this was able to evoke some really powerful stuff with me. The gorgeous art direction, great music, interesting world and freeing mechanics managed to create a really well rounded experience while not being all that difficult.  I would love to know what or if there is a real ending and if so, how to go about it, because I want to see how it ends but I just couldn't figure it out!

(+2)

Great video! Thank you for playing and for your commentary, we're glad we could share this experience with you. I will send you a DM with information on how to reach the end.

(+4)

This is an amazing game!  I love everything about it and I can't wait to see more!  You have made something truly unique and beautiful!

(+3)

Thank you for playing and thank you so much for your kind words. It looks like you really had fun and nothing could warm our hearts as much as seeing you enjoy the game this much!

(+4)

I wish the performance was better but other than that, great work, the setting is enchanting and the canvas mechanic can lead to some fun creations. :)

(+3)

Thank you so much for playing and enjoying our game ! Great work on the video.
